The Benefits of this Balancing Facial Toner
Hibiscus – AKA: Nature’s Botox. It contains constituents are astringent, high in vitamins, antioxidants and contains natural AHA’s known for brightening skin tone and reducing the signs of hyperpigmentation and scarring. It also has firming and lifting properties, helping to increase skin elasticity and accelerate cell turnover.
Patchouli is anti-inflammatory, soothes irritation and calms redness. It is astringent – tightens skin, reducing signs of aging. Stimulates production of new cells. Antimicrobial. Speeds healing and reduces appearance of scars.
Rosemary is antiseptic, reduces signs of aging, and treats acne.
Lavender is soothing, anti-aging, moisturizing, regulates oil production, and is antiseptic.
Witch Hazel shrinks pores, firms skin, reduces inflammation, and its antioxidants reduce skin cell damage.
Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)contains a natural alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that has exfoliating, smoothing, skin lightening, and collagen producing properties. Aloe Vera has powerful healing activity at the epithelial level of the skin. It acts as a protective layer on the skin and helps replenish its moisture. Because of its nutritional qualities and antioxidant properties, the skin heals quicker. Aloe moisturizes the skin without giving it a greasy feel, so it`s perfect for anyone with an oily skin complexion. For women who use mineral-based make-up, aloe Vera acts as a moisturizer and is great for the face prior to the application to prevents skin drying. For men: Aloe Vera gel can be used as an aftershave treatment as its healing properties can treat small cuts caused by shaving. Aloe Vera gel contains two hormones: Auxin and Gibberellins. These two hormones provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. Giberellin in Aloe Vera acts as a growth hormone stimulating the growth of new cells. It allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring. Aloe is soothing and can reduce skin inflammations, blistering and itchiness, while helping the skin to heal more rapidly. Additionally, in Ayurvedic medicine, Aloe is used to effectively heal chronic skin problems, such as psoriasis, acne and eczema. They will even out skin tone, prevent and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, treat and prevent acne, and protect against sun damage, while cleansing and nourishing all layers of the skin and beyond!
Commercial skincare companies promise to deliver these same results but pack their products full of endocrine-disrupting, skin-sensitizing, and even carcinogenic chemicals. Even well-intentioned but misguided organic skincare companies do not always take the necessary steps to ensure the safety and purity of their products. Our products are safe enough to eat, (although it is not recommended to ingest of course!) If you can’t eat it, it shouldn’t be put on your body because everything you put ON your body absorbs INTO your bloodstream and either promotes health or dis-ease, the same as what you put IN your body.
